No money is safe in any bank whether it is a nationalised bank or a public bank.
Because upto 1 lakh rs. Is sum insured in your bank account. Which means that in case of any default of bank you are insured upto amount of rs 1 lakh only.
So its better if you have Rs 10 lakh amd want to invest in FD than invest in 10 banks or 5 banks
For 1 lakh each or 2 lakh each respectively.
